The Harley Foundation, based on the Ducal Estate of Welbeck in Nottinghamshire, home to the Cavendish Bentinck family since the 1600s, was founded in 1977 by the late Ivy, Duchess of Portland. The Foundation funds the Harley Gallery, and offers subsidised studio space and grant-aid to artists.
