Mark in his Studio at the Pearoom

Above, Mark's rings start their life as plastic bags whch he has been collecting since arriving in England. The bags are cut into fine strips, stretched and spun into braid using a drop spindle. The braid is formed into a ring shape and slowly melted in an oven. The colour of the rings are determined by the bag's colour. Mark has also been using the braid with inserted silver pieces to create necklaces (below)

As well as the plastic bags, Mark has collected a variety of disposable cutlery, bottles and containers The green bottle (pictured) has silver studs inserted into it's base.
